Breastfeeding in public

Free parenting

Breastfeeding is so much more than just nourishment.

It’s comfort, connection, and simply… normal. And yet, some people look at you as if you’re putting on a live show in the supermarket. 🛒👀

It’s 2025—time to pump out the stigma and burst the myths surrounding this ‘breastfeeding thing’ once and for all. Tired of well-meaning advice like “Just

give a bottle,” or “Does that really have to happen here?”—as if nursing mothers constantly need to adapt or hide. Breastfeeding deserves respect, not frowns.

It’s not a statement, it’s simply what it is: a natural choice that needs a safe space.

Let’s make it visible, without shame & whispers. These are moments of unconditional care, and they belong everywhere—right in the heart of the city,

at a café, and yes, even in that same supermarket queue.

A breastfeeding Mom’s perspective

The first time felt clumsy and painful, but when she latched on, I knew: "This is right." It’s more than just food—it’s comfort, sleep, and love in one simple act.

"My body has already taken so much from me, but this—I could give to her."

After a C-section and years of endometriosis, breastfeeding was a way to

reclaim control. Less pain, more peace—for both of us. It felt like, finally, I was doing something right.

People have come to see a pacifier as normal, but the real nipple makes them uncomfortable. Strange, right?"

"Still nursing?" someone asked. Yes, still.

And no, it doesn’t just ‘stop on its own.’

I often heard, "He'll never grow out of it".

But a child outgrows everything — except love.

And if this is how I can comfort my child, why

would I stop? The problem isn’t my breast.

The problem is other people’s stares."
